The GRE test writers have released an updated version of The Official Guide to the Revised GRE, 2nd Edition. The 1st edition was published in August 2011. The new Official Guide has an extra Practice Test and an updated score scale(130-170), other than that everything else is identical. If you have not purchased the 1st Edition, I would recommend you to buy the 2nd edition.
ETS also released an updated version of the PowerPrep II Version 2.0 Software that consists of two practice tests. The updated software has two computer-based tests as opposed to one in the previous version, and the scoring scale has also been updated to the current version(130-170). The Practice Test 1 in the new version is identical to the test in the old version.
In summary, students have access to a total of four practice tests that should be central in evaluating their performance during preparation.
